Governance

True Community Foundation is a federally recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation. Public records related to incorporation and tax-exempt status are maintained by the appropriate state and federal agencies.

Our organization is overseen by a dedicated board of directors, ensuring that all activities are conducted responsibly, ethically, and in compliance with federal and state laws. We prioritize accountability, transparency, and sound decision-making at every level.

A board of directors provides guidance and oversight of the organization’s operations. The board meets regularly to review strategic goals, policies, and financial stewardship, ensuring the organization remains aligned with its mission.

The Executive Director and senior leadership team manage daily operations, implement programs, and ensure the organization operates efficiently while maintaining the highest ethical standards.

We maintain a set of policies—including conflict of interest, whistleblower, and ethics policies—to ensure decisions are made responsibly and in the organization’s best interest. These policies are available upon formal request.

Financial accountability is central to our operations. All funds are carefully managed under strict oversight, and required financial filings are publicly available through state and federal agencies.

Giving

Out of millions of charities, only a select few can demonstrate tangible, measurable results. TCF is one of them, ensuring that your support creates real, meaningful change.

  • Direct, Tangible Impact: Every dollar moves immediately into action—creating results you can see, measure, and feel within your own community.
  • Born From Necessity, Not Opportunism: TCF was not created as a business model. We responded to a direct call from our community to bridge the gap between resources and urgent need during the pandemic.
  • Rooted in Real People: TCF is powered by local individuals, businesses, and volunteers united by one purpose—building a better future for our children and the generations that follow.
